Two years ago, I was the biggest cheese addict known to mankind.
In fact, I don’t think my friends would have batted an eyelid if I’d announced I was changing my middle name to “Cheese.”
I lived, ate, and in fact, I’m pretty sure on one occasion I practically inhaled it.
So imagine my huge shock and disappointment when I was told I was severely intolerant to it…
I’ll be totally honest here, I’m a city girl through and through.
I love the hustle and bustle, the vast array of restaurants and shops, the guarantee that you can find whatever you need within a ten minute radius.
But I’m the first to admit that sometimes it can get a little bit too much. A tad all consuming – and so it’s important to escape the city once in awhile. And I don’t just mean your home city.

Us girls are pretty good at talking about most things. I know me and my girlfriends bare no bones when it comes to chatting about relationships, break-ups, work-place disputes and general celebrity gossip.
We do like a good chin-wag, let’s face it.
But there’s some things that for some reason, we just don’t talk about.
Whether it’s because we’re embarrassed, or we feel we’ll be judged, or that it’s just not commonplace.
I know from personal experience, these topics are subjects that I used to feel very conscious about mentioning, for fear of how the other person would react.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
And possibly also the most expensive. But hey, that’s why we love Christmas, right?
It’s obviously not all about the gifts but one of my favourite things to do around the festive period is shop for presents that I just know my family and friends will love.
