I’m sure you all tuned in on Monday night to watch the final of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, and if not – I’ll fill you in. Jade Thompson was one of my favourites from the very beginning, she had very distinguishing features and as the week’s went by it became more and more clear that she could sell products and stick to client’s photo shoot briefs. I think you’ll agree she has THE most gorgeous figure ever, it’s very womanly but she is still very model-esque with regards to her statue and size. However, I think in comparison to most models I believe Jade is very relatable, she is someone who we can be happy for as she is down to earth and she isn’t your typical model. She looked absolutely stunning on the final, and (I’m probably biased because Jade’s my favourite) however I think she made Juste (the other finalist) look plain and boyish. Jade was a very deserving winner – and to celebrate, I’ve included her portfolio in this post – so we can see her development right from the very beginning.
Juste, unfortunately was a bit of a sore loser – as she sold a story to the Mail about how she felt discriminated against due to the fact she was from Lithuania and the ‘producers wouldn’t be able to pick another non-English model without public outcry’. Personally I think that although Juste is a very beautiful girl, the reason she didn’t win wasn’t down to her nationality. Last year’s winner Tiffany was not British and she has become a successful model in her own right since winning. What’s your opinion? Should Juste have won?
