Fitness boot camps seem to be on trend at the moment, with many TOWIE stars and celebrities turning to intensive training over regular gym sessions. It’s not just any boot camp though, it’s No1Bootcamp in Norfolk which seems the place to be for anyone that wants to lose weight, tone up and get a bit of free publicity. Caggie Dunlop is their latest recruit, as she was spotted joining in the intensive training sessions last week. Now, I’ve met Caggie and she’s tiny in reality – really slim. However she claimed that she needed to ‘tone up, ready for my bikini body in three weeks time’.
Apparently Caggie has lost half a stone in a week since taking part in the scheme, which involves getting up a 6am, following a strict diet plan and exercising all hours of the day. This may seem like a lot to someone who is dieting and losing weight slowly but surely, however it does come at a price. A rather hefty price. Seven nights at the boot camp in Norfolk cost in the region of £1,000 per person, which includes your accommodation and food. If you’d prefer to exercise in warmer weather, you can opt for their boot camp in Ibiza, which costs in the region of £1,300 without flights.
I love the idea of losing half a stone in a week; however I’m a little cynical about what happens after you come back from boot camp. I think it takes much longer than a week to get into a habit/routine to get fit and healthy – which is why I think regular exercise and gym sessions are probably better in the long term. However, if you want a quick fix and have the cash to splash – here’s their website.
Personally, I think Caggie looked gorgeous already – she has a very slim but womanly figure and she doesn’t need to lose any weight at all. But it’s great to see that she’s not afraid to be papped without make-up, and getting involved in a hard workout.
What do you think? Did Caggie need to go to boot camp? Have you ever been to a fitness boot camp – do they work? Please leave your thoughts and comments below.
