Live Life on Impulse

I’m known among my family and friends to be a bit of a planner. I’m quite a sensible person who likes to be organised, so doing anything largely ‘spontaneous’ is usually off the cards. When it comes to style, I stick to what I know and rarely venture off course. If someone approached me with an opportunity to do something wild and crazy that day (am trying to think of what this could possibly be – so let’s go with cliff jumping, because that terrifies me), my answer would be a resounding no. I need time to think it over,…

August Beauty Favourites

August has been another busy month of trying beauty products with a firm focus on injecting some much needed hydration back into my hair and skin. Although I haven’t been on my usual two week summer holiday, the UK weather still seems to have taken its toll on them anyway, so I was on a mission to restore both to their former glory before my #BloggersFestival event in early September. So, without further ado… Spectrum S Factor Tigi | link The Spectrum launch last month made waves among the blogosphere (I think I was the only person who didn’t actually…

A lesson in make-up

Despite blogging about beauty for over five years, it recently dawned on me that I don’t actually know how to apply make-up. Well perhaps the better way of explaining it is that I don’t have any technique of doing so. I just sort of splodge¬†it on and hope for the best. July Beauty Favourites

The end of the month is upon us and what an amazing four weeks it has been. I spent the early part in Thailand (so many of the below products have been road tested in the sun) before heading back to begin blogging full time. In among keeping busy, I’ve managed to try my fair share of beauty products and so without further ado, let’s get to it… Jo Malone London Basil & Neroli | link I feel a bit jammy including this within my July favourites list, because technically it’s not out in stores until September but I’ve been…

Long Haul Holiday Prep

I’m sure every girl can relate to the fact that the beauty holiday prep takes almost as much (if not more) time as booking the holiday, finding the passports, packing your suitcases and popping on the out of office. It’s by far the least favourite part of any trip away –¬†largely because it’s so bloody expensive, but also it involves rushing around trying to book in hair, nails, waxing and pruning appointments. Being a girl is hard. #firstworldproblems Anyway, this year – my trip to Thailand fell at a very busy time. I was hosting my event #BloggersBall just two…
