A re-boost stay-cation in Taunton

For the past few weeks, I’ve been avidly checking all of the bargain sites in a bid to try and secure a cheap last minute getaway. When I say cheap, I don’t necessarily mean I’m looking for a steal but just one that’s affordable for the average person like me, who doesn’t have a few grand laying about to blow out on a getaway. And low and behold, I haven’t found one. I don’t know what’s happened lately but everything seems to be very overpriced and there’s always hidden extras that they don’t tell you about until you reach the final…

In My Wardrobe:

Twr Y Felin, Pembrokeshire

After spending our first night in Pembrokeshire in a stunning castle (post here), we figured our trip could only get better from there on in. The reason for our visit to the area was actually to celebrate the launch of the new Twr Y Felin Hotel in St Davids, which has the same ownership as Roch Castle, so from the offset we had very high expectations. Roch Castle, Pembrokeshire

There’s nothing that makes you feel like a princess more than your very own castle. The Swan Hotel & Spa, Lavenham

Many of you who follow me on Twitter will have probably discovered that I am currently writing a (painful) dissertation, as part of my third (and final) year studying Journalism. It’s something that seems to occupy at least 90% of my time and thoughts at the moment, sabotaging any opportunity to chill out or relax. So, when the opportunity arose to escape London and head to Lavenham, in Suffolk, for a long weekend of spa treatments, incredible food and swanning about in robes, I’m sure you can imagine what my answer was. Located just under two hours away, we packed up…

My Birthday in Brighton

Brighton has a real place in my heart. I have fond memories heading down there at the weekend with school friends and exploring the pier with my cousins and grandmother. Despite often facing brisk winds (and having to battle your way through it), I always found something so comforting about the place – and since my last trip in 2014, I have been eager to return. So with my birthday on the horizon, I found the perfect excuse to book a weekend away. Perhaps January isn’t the best time to visit (imagine those hideous winds, times ten) but I was…
