A Guide To Iceland

Iceland has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Defined by it’s dramatic landscapes, with glaciers, hot springs, volcanos and lava fields, it’s totally different to the kind of holiday that I normally opt for, however I suppose it’s much more of an experience than a ‘relaxing break’. Regardless, everyone I’ve spoken to has regarded it as a ‘must-see destination’ and so my hypothetical trip has been planned for many years. Recently, an opportunity with TK Maxx arose for me to actually book the trip and go – which was very exciting, as it wasn’t somewhere I…

A Sunseekers Guide to Hvar, Croatia

My favourite time of year to go abroad is when the remnants of summer are finally starting to fade and the hundreds of photos on Facebook slowly start to return to the more mundane of activities, rather than albums full of cocktails and beaches. Chasing the last of the summer sun is something I’ve done for the past couple of years and really enjoyed. Your Dream Day, in Phuket Thailand

Thailand seems like a LONG time ago now. I mean, I’m not sure how it’s got to September already but still – my actual summer holiday was all the way back in June! How time flies. But anyway, I wanted to save some of my Thailand coverage for a later date and not bombard you with it all at once, because as much as it was an incredible trip – there’s only so much talk of white sandy beaches and chicken satay that one person can handle. So, today, several months on, I thought I’d share a part of my…

A re-boost stay-cation in Taunton

For the past few weeks, I’ve been avidly checking all of the bargain sites in a bid to try and secure a cheap last minute getaway. When I say cheap, I don’t necessarily mean I’m looking for a steal but just one that’s affordable for the average person like me, who doesn’t have a few grand laying about to blow out on a getaway. And low and behold, I haven’t found one. I don’t know what’s happened lately but everything seems to be very overpriced and there’s always hidden extras that they don’t tell you about until you reach the final…

Packing for island hopping in Thailand!

As many of you may know (thanks to my excited social media mentions), earlier last month – I jetted off to Thailand, for a 16 day adventure with my boyfriend David. It had been a couple of months in the planning and we were both really excited for our trip – often sending each other pictures we’ve found on Instagram of the islands we were hoping to visit. Although I visited Australia and Bali when I was a child, that part of the world lay largely unexplored for me and I imagined quite a culture shock, so I was both intrigued and…
