How to Stay Safe While Blogging

The title of this might sound a bit odd. Because for the large part, blogging is a rather ‘safe’ job by nature. There’s rarely any stunts you have to pull (aside from that time I thought it would be a good idea to say yes to a mountain adventure sports press trip – good one, Scarlett) and you don’t have to handle dangerous machinery (although there was that one time I caught the tip of my finger in my camera cover while closing it – ouch!). So to sum up, it’s not exactly an adrenaline junkies dream job. Being careful isn’t…

How to have the Dream Magnum Date

As you probably know by now, I’m lactose intolerant (unfortunately) and yet since I do most of the cooking in our house, so my poor boyfriend David is pretty much spared of all cheese, milk and dairy products. I know he doesn’t mind too much (and actually prefers almond milk with his porridge) but when it comes to date night, I do try and make sure there’s a treat or two that offers something more exciting for him. Turning the Blog Into A Brand

When I started blogging in 2011, the social sphere looked pretty different to how it does today. There were no sponsored posts, no blogging communities and certainly no bloggers who had their own beauty ranges. Events were few and far between (although always well attended by the most lovely people) and there was no real ‘business’ or branding side to anyone’s websites. Blog’s were, blogs. They documented people’s lives in the most simple forms. They illustrated individual’s love of beauty, their passion for fashion or their dating disasters. I’m not saying I miss what blogging once was, because that’s not it.…

Precious Moments with WD

I’m sure every blogger (or keen photographer) can relate to the fact that photographs are very precious. We spend hours (sometimes days) preparing, perfecting and prepping the perfect shot – before then meticulously editing them to add vibrance to the colours. Many of them are precious because they represent memories we love – capturing the moment in time, for us to fondly look back upon. And many of them document moments in our lives which tell stories to our readers. Even in everyday life, the photograph captures the moments we want to treasure forever. In essence, they’re not something we…

Ridiculous Possibilities

David and I have been focused on the house over the past month or so, filling it up with lovely interior pieces to make an initially rather quite plain, new-build box feel like a warm and cosy home. It’s looking beautiful. However it’s also rather costly and although my Pinterest visions have not been compromised, we’ve certainly had to search around much more than we thought. One of our firm favourites throughout the process however, has been TK Maxx. I’ve never before fully appreciated how incredibly priced their products are and yet, how high quality they are too. We’ve stocked up…
