The Tax Details Bloggers Need To Know

When I graduated in May, starting my new life as a full-time blogger was something I felt as though I’d been waiting for, for a very long time indeed. When I started scarlettlondon.com back in 2011, I could have never imagined it would spiral into what it is today. In fact, I didn’t even know the whole blogging world existed back then (or that what I had created was a blog) and to this day, it still amazes me what incredible opportunities can come from setting up your own little space on the internet and writing your heart out. It’s like…

In My Wardrobe:

#BloggersBall

This post is rather overdue, but I wanted to dedicate enough time to sit down and reflect on the experience of planning and hosting the #BloggersBall, all the way back on Saturday 18th June. As many of you may already know, alongside running my blog (now full time), I also plan and host blogger and brand networking events. Date Night at the Galleria

With the UK weather being largely unpredictable (as always), we haven’t had as many summer BBQ’s and lazy nights in the park by this time of year as I’d hoped. David and I had one evening several weeks ago where it was hot enough to put together a barbecue, open a bottle of prosecco and chat the night away – which of course, was lovely – but our wonderful weather makes these such occasions few and far between. Let’s hope it improves! Anyway, keen not to miss out on the all important date night, despite the weather – we headed to…

How losing weight changed me

For as long as I can remember of my teenage and adult life, I’ve been on some kind of diet. A sad thought, I know – but I’m sure one that many other women can relate to. I’ve always been very aware of my weight and compared myself to other bodies, other women. I forever felt like the ‘big’ one among my friendship group and so from about the age of 13, I had a pretty unhealthy relationship with food – yo-yo dieting without any real thought of the consequences. And of course, while the weight may have fluctuated by…

#JewelleryBoxSky

As many of you probably know by now, as well as running my blog – I also put together blogger networking events in and around London. It was something I started back in 2013, frustrated by the lack of blogger related activities and focus at beauty and fashion launches. I appreciate its a whole different ball game now, as there’s an event every day targeted at bloggers and influencers, but back when I began, I just really wanted to meet other like-minded writers and social media lovers, in a friendly welcoming environment. And although there’s always a LOT of stress involved…
