How to make the internet a friendlier place

The past few weeks have really opened my eyes up to how cruel the internet can be. I’m pleased to say that until a few months ago, I’d never really received any negative comments or harsh words about my blog. I think written blogs in general tend to be a friendlier place than other platforms – and so largely, I’d been sheltered by the fact that I hadn’t yet ventured onto YouTube. But then I got involved in a TV campaign and did an internet video for a big high street brand – which was a very exciting highlight of…

September Beauty Favourites

How on earth it’s the end of September, I have no idea. Time seems to be whizzing by at a rate I simply can’t keep up with – and while I’m secretly super glad we’re edging closer to Christmas (largely so I can watch Elf and drink mulled wine without feeling too guilty), I’m also slightly taken aback at how quickly the world seems to pass by. Add a little confetti to each day!

Blogging has brought me some amazing opportunities in the five and a half years I’ve been running this site. From attending the BAFTA’s, to appearing in my very own TV advert, to hosting events and meeting over 200 like-minded people. It’s certainly been an incredible spectacle,¬†granting me the freedom to get creative and really push myself out of my comfort zone. Live Life on Impulse

I’m known among my family and friends to be a bit of a planner. I’m quite a sensible person who likes to be organised, so doing anything largely ‘spontaneous’ is usually off the cards. When it comes to style, I stick to what I know and rarely venture off course. If someone approached me with an opportunity to do something wild and crazy that day (am trying to think of what this could possibly be – so let’s go with cliff jumping, because that terrifies me), my answer would be a resounding no. I need time to think it over,…

Your Dream Day, in Phuket Thailand

Thailand seems like a LONG time ago now. I mean, I’m not sure how it’s got to September already but still – my actual summer holiday was all the way back in June! How time flies. But anyway, I wanted to save some of my Thailand coverage for a later date and not bombard you with it all at once, because as much as it was an incredible trip – there’s only so much talk of white sandy beaches and chicken satay that one person can handle. So, today, several months on, I thought I’d share a part of my…
