One for the over-thinkers

Staying positive is easier said than done. 9 times out of 10, the automatic response to a negative thought pattern is a quick ‘try not to worry’, which invariably doesn’t help. But there are times when over-thinking something, mulling over a past mistake or overanalysing an interaction, slips into the unhealthy realm. When it consumes you on a regular basis and you find yourself obsessing over things, robbing you of enjoying moments in the present. My beautiful friend Em recently wrote a post which really got me thinking about how much over-thinking seems to consume my daily life. I know I’m…

In My Wardrobe:

The thing 1 in 5 of us have but don’t want to talk …

So this post is a bit of a different one. It’s probably going to stick out like a sore thumb in among pictures of my Thailand travels and my attempt at being a fashion blogger. Wanderlust at the Amari Koh Samui

They often say that the best is saved until last and when it came to our Thailand trip, this was rather fitting. I wasn’t expecting to like Koh Samui as much as I did. I’m not sure why. Maybe I didn’t give it the benefit of the doubt after hearing about its party fuelled reputation. Although really, it’s just an absolutely breath-taking place that I honestly didn’t want to leave. I think the place we made our home for the duration of our stay made it all the more special though. Introducing, the Amari Koh Samui…  Nestled on Chaweng beach,…

The Tax Details Bloggers Need To Know

When I graduated in May, starting my new life as a full-time blogger was something I felt as though I’d been waiting for, for a very long time indeed. When I started scarlettlondon.com back in 2011, I could have never imagined it would spiral into what it is today. In fact, I didn’t even know the whole blogging world existed back then (or that what I had created was a blog) and to this day, it still amazes me what incredible opportunities can come from setting up your own little space on the internet and writing your heart out. It’s like…
