Just to introduce myself; my name is Claudia and I am a Fashion Writer for Scarlett London. I have loved fashion from a very young age and moved from Athens to London to study Fashion Styling & Media at Istituto Marangoni. I have been writing for my personal style blog, Pink Manolos, for two years now and, just like Scarlett London, it was nominated by Cosmopolitan magazine in the Top 15 Best New Blogs of 2012. I have just been offered a personal style column here at Scarlett London so I will be blogging every Wednesday for your weekly fashion dose! I hope my outfit posts and styling tips inspire you all to spice up your looks with a little something every day and keep you all up to date with the latest collections and trends (did you see the gorgeous eye make-up at the Chanel S/S 14 Couture show?!)
As you will soon discover, I am absolutely obsessed with black. I open up my closet and there is black everywhere: black jeans, black skirts, black boots, black tops…I wear a lot of black. It’s not that I’m afraid of colour but I save it for sunny days in Greece and I like it in small doses. Usually I like to add cool pops of colour to my black outfits with a bright bag or coat – and, actually, apart from my large collection of black boots, I rarely wear black shoes – my ballerinas and heels are all coloured!
I got these new ‘Carvela’ by Kurt Geiger boots during Christmas and I am absolutely in love with them. They are so comfortable and they go with everything – I think it is easy to wear them every day – with skinny jeans and a sweater or with a flouncy skirt and tights. They’re flat so even though they are slightly over the knee (I think they were actually mean’t to be knee-high but I’m 5’2” so there you go), they don’t make me look too dressed up but just add a little character to my looks. Just imagine how boring this outfit would have looked if I was just wearing ballerina flats?
For my outfit of the week (ootw), I’ve paired my Kurt Geiger boots (get them here) with a skirt and jumper from Zara, sunglasses from Urban Outfitters and my new favourite accessory – my Jerôme Dreyfuss bag. Slouchy and held with effortless cool (I hope!) à la Victoria Beckham – from the A/W 13 show.
What do you think? Do you like over-the-knee boots and how would you style them?

Thanks for reading, catch up next week!
