As you may know, I studied photography at A Level and at GCSE level (fashion photography in particular), but dropped out in my final year after a series of ‘stuck in their ways’ photography teachers, some of whom – had no qualifications in photography (our ‘supply’ teacher ended up covering for most of the year) yet took it upon themselves to criticize every piece of work handed in. I took a few knock backs, and decided I would go forward with my three academic subjects instead, which is a shame as I do consider myself as a creative person – and I absolutely love photography.
I’ve decided (a mid year’s resolution I guess), to start indulging in photography once again – and so to begin, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite pieces of my own. Of course, my blog has meant that photography is an everyday part of my life, however not ‘fashion photography’ or shooting things other than beauty products (my entire camera is full to the brim of photographs of mascaras, eyeliners and shampoos!).
I’d love to hear what you think, and I’d especially love to hear if you have a passion for photography and have any tips or advice for me!
PS: I hope the people in these photographs don’t mind me posting them too much!
