It’s hard to know what to wear in this weather, one minute it’s raining the next its boiling hot. So in aid of our temperamental weather, I’ve searched the net (well Topshop) for A/W’s best buys and put together some style inspiration outfits for you to enjoy. I really love the colours of A/W this year as not only are they really easy to wear and put together, but they are also very flattering.
What do you think of my outfit choices? Which one is your favourite?
(All items used in this post are from Topshop.com). I love this look as the colours are summer-y, however the layers create the warmth needed for British winter. The shoes are AMAZING, however if you aren’t keen on wearing heels for everyday use – the outfit would look just as fab with flats. The Mary Jane heels and socks look is definitely back in this season, and a peter pan collar dress is its perfect companion. This is a look for those who love girlie glamour, however I think that with a few changes, the statement pieces could be worn within any outfit.I have to say, this look is inspired partly by what Louise Cliffe wears (on BB at the moment) and partly inspired by a stick thin model I saw at London Fashion Weekend. I will admit that wearing leggings as trousers should not be an everyday occurrence, and probably won’t be a good idea for those who like to hide certain bits of their body however I love the casual glamour, so I included it anyway. Personally, I feel that leggings are perfectly acceptable to wear as tights, or around the house or under a tunic – but not in replacement of trousers. (RANT OVER!). Each piece in this look is individually amazing, especially the jacket and the pack of four rings – they give the outfit a real ‘underground, grungy glam’ feel to the outfit. The layers are ideal for warmer weather – as if it’s warm you can hang around in a t-shirt, if not just pop the jacket on!
This is also a look inspired by a lady I saw at London Fashion Weekend, the top she was wearing was more of an orange colour rather than red, but I feel that it gives the same effect. The bold print of the skirt and the brightness of the top contrasts to create a gorgeous, quirky and glamorous look. The tight fit of the skirt also contrasts with the floaty style top, which gives the illusion of a very hourglass shape. It’s very flattering and would be ideal for those who want a smart look for work, which they can accessorize for weekend shopping!
