Despite calling myself a blogger, I have never actually completed a ‘what’s in my bag’ tag post before. Partially, I’m afraid, because what is usually in my bag is utter rubbish. Tissues, cereal bar wrappers, paracetamol, various notebooks, books, weird objects (I once opened my bag after a night out and found an ice scooper inside) all take pride of place, rather than the necessary essentials – so I’ve always been a little embarrassed to open it up and share. However, a brand new (utterly gorgeous) handbag, calls for a little showing off. Sometimes it’s not necessarily what’s in the bag (although I have shown you below if you’re interested), it’s the exterior itself.
I seem to spot Marc B bags everywhere I go. Clearly, they’re on my radar – but I have never actually owned one myself, until now. This gorgeous Jules Tote Bag (in maroon) was definitely worth waiting for. Big enough to fit an Apple MacBook, your lunch and a few spare ‘essentials’, it is the ideal size for daywear and the colour – although bold – is very versatile.
Located inside (with the uni work removed) is my black Mulberry purse, The Body Shop’s Satsuma Body Mist (this smells amazing), my iPhone (which is currently re-cooperating after being found in a large mystery puddle), my Dorothy Perkins tortoiseshell sunnies (well, you never quite know when the sun might make an appearance), my pink filofax (my life), a pack of Simple Face Wipes (very handy and perfect for sensitive skin), Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Champagne Toast (full review here) and my real techniques brush.
Also included is my new Barry M ‘Smoking Hot’ Make-Up Palette, which is ideal for on-the-go eye shadow top up, in addition to more dramatic, evening smokey eyes. Although I regularly use Barry M on my nails, I have until recently – been yet to try their eye shadows, so I was delighted to find that they are just as pigmented and strong as their other products.
What is in your bag? Do you have any of the same items hidden in yours?
