Red Dress, Sunset

If you've been following me over on Instagram (@Scarlettlondon) then you may have noticed a recent 'blue' theme to my photos, as I've recently been staying in Greece. I'm now home (and suffering from horrible holiday blues) and in due course, I'll put together a mammoth post on everything I got up to while there, however in the meantime, I wanted to share some of the outfits I wore.Since we didn't have much of a summer here, I wasn't able to wear many of the sun-suited purchases I made, so they all ventured with me (in an extremely heavy suitcase) and I tried to make the most out of the gorgeous weather and incredible location.Scarlett L Red 7 Scarlett London Dress Red 9845 Scarlett London Red 2 Scarlett London Red 6This dress in particular was one I'd been vying to wear since I bought in all the way back in June. It's a little more revealing and slightly more daring than the sorts of dresses I usually opt for, but I fell in love with it and re-added it to my online basket about 12 times before finally making the purchase. It's something you'd probably save for a holiday date night - or special occasion, but since I was celebrating seeing the sun for the first time, it made an appearance on the first night.A night which also happened to be rather windy. Note my fetching hair moustache...Scarlett London Red 34 Scarlett London Red 343 Scarlett London Red 4545 Scarlett London Red 454656Until now, I'd never owned a maxi dress because I'd imagined they'd swallow me and make me look far bigger than I was. This one however, I made an exception for - since there are two slits up the legs (don't think I quite rival Angelina Jolie, but still) and this manages to avoid the swamped look.Scarlett London Red 3454565 Scarlett London red Scarlett London Red1

Oxblood Maxi Dress: Missguided £40 (almost sold out, similar here). Heels: Missguided £30

I'm sorry if a couple of these pictures are too dark, we actually shot them at sunset - which I think makes for some usual, but pretty lighting. A massive thank you to Danielle for being patient and taking these, even when I complained about the lighting and moved position 7000+ times. #Bloggerproblems.Photographs taken at the incredible St Nicolas Bay Resort.

Do you own any floaty maxi dresses? Have you been on holiday recently?
