It's my first proper day back at school today (well, I say school - it's sixth form) and so I'm wearing quite a plain outfit today. I read a story today about Tavi (stylerookie.com) whose blog I have been following for about a year, she has now set up her own online magazine - where she is the editor in chief and employs a team of 40 to keep it up to date. I'm really pleased for her, as a lot of young girls her age inspire to be as creative and fashion forward as she is - and she has worked hard with her blog - so she deserves to be successful. The only thing I sometimes find with Tavi's blog, is that her writing is often too complex to be an easy reading kind of magazine and some of her outfits are a little TOO 'out there' for me. However, saying that - she is a very talented young girl, with the right mind frame and an amazing talent - so I wish her all the very best. It's hard to know what exactly makes a good blog, I think you just have to have something different to say - or offer something different to your readers. I try and cover a wide range of topics and write about issues of interest in a more chatty, opinionated way rather than factual. If you enjoy reading 'what I wore' blogs, then you can simply click on the 'what I wore' tab and filter out all the other posts - however if you want to catch up on my opinion of the latest gossip then you can choose the 'gossip and tv' option. I also review lots of products on a regular basis, from a wide variety of new and exciting shops - so that you can have a trusted (well, I hope you trust me! :)) and honest opinion.
