When it comes to pampering, The Body Shop is definitely my first port of call. With an assortment of scents – to suit all noses – you are guaranteed to find something luxurious, without the matching price tag. My favourites include their creme brûlée vanilla range (which is incredible) and their coconut scents, however when they added a new ‘flavour’ to their family recently, I couldn’t resist a sneaky sniff.
Inspired by a Japanese tea ceremony, the new range of products ‘Fuji Green Tea’ are blended with antioxidant green tea leaves picked from Japan’s Mount Fuji region.
Although recognised by the world in recent years for its amazing detox and health benefits, there have been few introductions into the beauty market, so I was really pleased to see how my favourite cup of tea could be integrated into pampering. With a fresh, awakening and summery scent, it makes for the perfect energising fragrance – reminiscent of eucalyptus – but more subtle and floral.
I’ve been using the Green Tea Body Butter and Body Wash for several weeks now and have really enjoyed how manages to wake me up in the mornings (usually impossible unless you bribe me with clothes or chocolate) and leaves me feeling far more refreshed. As with all the body butters, you are promised 24hours of intense hydration – a claim that certainly lives up to its’ words.
If you’re on the lookout for a new fragrant body butter to try, with summer in mind, I’d definitely give this range a go.
