Welcome to the brand new Scarlett London!
Firstly, I would like to apologize for my site being down for so long. It has been missing in action for the best part of three weeks and I’ve missed blogging just as much as I’ve missed you guys reading my posts – so please accept my apologies for this. Unfortunately, it was one thing after the other – blog.com’s server being down, my site domain being transferred and the new website getting sorted out – but I’m back (and hopefully here to stay).
Unfortunately, due to my site being down for so long – my Google ranking (where I was first in the world when typing in ‘Scarlett London’) has been taken down, which is quite disappointing as I worked very hard for 2 years to get it, but hopefully with your help – I can push scarlettlondon.com up to the top again!
As you may have noticed, my site has had a little re-vamp, courtesy of Creatrix Marketing’s hard work – and I hope you like the new layout. I had wanted to change the design for quite some time, as the old one was getting a little generic and I saw that several other sites on the web had the same design, so I wanted something different. I also love reading blog’s in one big long scroll layouts so I wanted to incorporate this into my blog somehow – and make it look a little fresher.
How to navigate:
I am confident that this new site is just as easy to navigate as the old one was, but I would like to let you know about a few of the snazzy design bits that make it that little bit more exciting. As you probably know, my blog is a mix of everything (fashion, beauty, travel, showbiz, celebrity, entertainment, lifestyle and so on), so on my homepage, you will be able to see little previews of all of the latest articles in these categories.
If however, you prefer reading about one subject topic in particular, you simply use the drop down menus underneath my header to read all of the posts of that subject, in a blog style format. So, if you like – my blog is what you make of it. If you prefer fashion, simply select the ‘fashion’ tab from the drop down menu – and flick through all of the fashion inspired posts. Similarly, if you prefer beauty, simply select the ‘beauty’ tab – and read it as a beauty blog. Each section will be updated regularly – so keep checking back for more!
One little addition to my new site which I particularly like is the ‘related posts’ section at the end of each article, which recommends other posts on my blog that you may enjoy reading! I am currently working on adding images to accompany all of the little recommendations – so you will probably see these pop up soon.
If you’d prefer to scroll through my archives, these are listed by months on my sidebar (in pink) and can also be read in blog roll format.
Once again, thank you all so much for sticking by me! I have got lots of exciting things planned in the pipeline (the LDNBloggersParty, Lipsy VIP Awards, Company Blog Awards etc), all of which I will be reporting on for scarlettlondon.com. I know the comment box on my last site didn’t work so well, but you will be pleased to know that the new comment box works perfectly – so I hope to see lots of your opinions streaming in!
And lastly (and rather cheekily) if you do like the new site – I’d absolutely love for you to subscribe. There are several ways of doing so (on the top menu and at the very bottom of the site), but once you’ve signed up by email – you will get all of the posts sent straight to your inbox, so you will be the first to read them – exclusively!

PS: As the site is still very new, little tweaks will be made here and there. I am aware that the advertising on the site is quite intrusive (and features below the menu, as well as above the header), so this will continue to be played around it a little bit until we get it right.
