Despite being in the midst of Winter, I still struggle putting together a weather-suitable outfit that is both comfortable and on trend. Usually I fall down at either hurdle and end up spending the entire day shivering (but looking Instagram ready) or in some almost-onesie-style-ensemble. It’s a hard life.
One look that does seem to tick both boxes however is this cosy combination, with a simplistic monochrome palette (and a pop of brown). It’s rare that I allow myself to wear plain black leggings however I think they do look *almost* dressy in this instance – teamed with my favourite pair of Timberland boots. The brand itself is back on trend (especially among celebs) but not being a fan of the usual design, I opted for this feminine shape instead, with a small heel. I found them online at Jones Bootmakers, however they’re currently sold out – so I’ve provided an alternative link below.
The cape is actually from Jessica Wright’s collection with Lipstick Boutique, which has some fantastic items at this time of year. I love how effortless it is to wear, yet it pulls together the entire look somewhat.

Cashmere is one of those luxurious winter purchases that always feels special, regardless of the fact that it *might be yet another black roll neck jumper to add to your already full wardrobe*. The roll neck in this may or not fall into this category. It’s from Cosy Cashmere, who have the most amazing (and affordable) pieces.
Do you have a go-to Winter look? Or any tips for dressing both warmly and on trend?
