I absolutely love reading ‘designer inspired’ posts on other blogs, simply because I’m not the sort of person to fork out for the real deal (even if I did have the money) so I enjoy seeing what other alternatives I could go for! I decided to set myself the challenge of scouring eBay (and other sites) to see if I could find designer inspired items that were worthy to blog about!
Admittedly, it did take a while to find items that weren’t just simply cheap knock offs of designer items however, I think I’ve found some amazing finds and have even talked myself into buying several of the items (oops!).
See if you can spot the designer from the more affordable alternative!
Yes, yes I know the spiked Litas aren’t exactly the same! However, the cheaper versions won’t take small children’s eyes out, should they happen to trip over onto your boots! Similarly, the Mulberry Alexa inspired handbag from eBay is slightly more orange than the real thing, however the seller of that handbag does stock them in other colours which look a little more natural (and perhaps more realistic) so this might be worth looking into if you are interested. The only thing I would say about Mulberry Alexa inspired handbags (as I own one myself) is that they are not as flimsy as the real deal, as they come out of the package quite rigid (if this makes any sense). So it is worth folding the bag a few times and giving it a bit of wear and tear before it looks really realistic.
If you have been in Primark recently, you may have spotted the Alexander McQueen Skull Style Scarf which is currently being stocked in a variety of different colours. As they are just £3 each, I bought several last time I visited my local Primark, however I was unable to obtain a picture of the scarf for this post! So I have managed to find another similar style scarf on eBay, which again – is extremely affordable and comes in a variety of colours!
What do you think? Did you enjoy this post?
