I don’t normally enter many blog competitions, simply because there are hundreds of AMAZING blogs roaming the ‘blogosphere’ and I just don’t stand a chance. However, when I heard about the Desire bloggers competitions, I had to make a little exception because I absolutely love their clothing as it is both affordable and stylish, which is more than you can say about most online stores. I quite often scour their website, adding dresses to my ‘imaginary wish list’ and so picking out my favourite pieces from the site wasn’t at all a chore! My only difficulty in the process was picking just one item – and so I hope Desire don’t mind that I have pieced together my favourite outfit several times over…
Getting into the festive spirit, I decided to create a ‘Christmas Party’ inspired look, which is ideal for those who want to remain on trend, don’t want to break the bank and enjoy investing in staple pieces which you can wear again and again.
Firstly, the dress is TO DIE FOR. For some reason, the colour is really christmas-y and I’m a sucker for anything with petals on! I’ve teamed it with a beautiful cream blazer, black ankle boots and a gorgeous jewelled clutch. To finish off, invest in a plum coloured lipstick!
Alternatively, you could wear the dress a little more dressed down (hypothetically, we could say a lunch with the girls!). I have gone a little overboard with the flowers, by adding a pair of flowery tights – but I couldn’t resist!
I’m not expecting to win, because I have had a sneaky peek at all of the other entries and they are far more thoughtful and creative, however I thought I had to enter because Desire is a brand I love and to be honest, I think I’ve just persuaded myself into buying this dress! Success!
