Slight disclaimer here before we get going. I’m doing that annoying thing that only seems to occur during Fashion Week, of not wearing my coat as it was properly intended. Instead, I’ve flung it over my shoulders in a bid to look more FASH-ION. Oh yes.
I give you permission to laugh at me.
My first outfit at this season’s London Fashion Week was a pastel combo, featuring a prairie style cream dress, a pastel pink trench, a tassel pastel handbag and these incredible two-toned suede platforms. I was trying to go for something a bit different than my usual monochrome look – and I actually really liked the outcome.

You’ll have to excuse the windswept look here. Unfortunately it was possibly the windiest day I’ve ever experienced, which is always helpful when you’re shooting a look with your hair loose, a coat precariously draped over your shoulders and a dress which whooshes up at a moments notice. I kept a couple of the really hilarious windswept ones in for your amusement. And because I thought they were kinda arty…
My day started off at a bloggers breakfast for Kurt Geiger, which was a fantastic way to kick off London Fashion Week. I have been a bit out of the blogging loop recently, so it was lovely to catch up with some of my favourite girls and meet some new faces, that I’ve been following online for a little while.
Then it was time to head on over to L’Oreal for a hair makeover. They had a pop-up shop set up for the duration of fashion week, offering hair refresher appointments, make-up touch ups and manicures – so I took full advance of this generous service and asked them to sort out my wind ridden locks. I also enjoyed a fruit salad and hummus and veg bagel while I was waiting – so by the time I left, I was feeling far better than before and ready to conquer the rest of the day.

This season marked my first time at the always-blogged-about Apartment, which is a hub for creatives and situated (very handily) right next to the Brewer Street Car Park venue. Set up by blogger extraordinare Abisola, it’s a venue dedicated to keeping everyone sane during Fashion Weeks – a haven in among the chaos may be a better description.
With a pamper lounge offering Mark Hill hair refreshers (which I also opted for later in the day) and make-up top-ups, there was also the opportunity to stock up on sweeties, pick out flowers for a flat lay (and take home) or shoot your outfit. When I visited on the Friday, there was also a Timberland Studio set up – gifting bloggers with their favourite pair of classic boots to take home. I left with a gorgeous magenta pair (which you may have seen on my Instagram). They’ll be cropping up in a number of outfit posts very soon, so watch this space.
Did you attend or follow London Fashion Week this season? Would you ever want to go?
