My dissertation is about 99.8% done (sorry for all the mentions, you must be sick of me banging on about it for so long) and so this – in my opinion – means only one thing. It’s not long until my first summer holiday of the year. I’m beyond excited and to mark this, I’ve been a bit click-happy on the whole online shopping front. Especially when it comes to dresses with floral patterns. Oops. Well, you know what they say. You can never have too many floaty floral dresses. That is what they say, isn’t it?
Besides the shopping usuals, I’ve recently come across a fabulous new website which seems to be catering for all my feminine fit cravings – sparked during a mass Instagram-stalking-sesh of Coachella. The site in question is Revolve – who host a number of gorgeous brands, on one easy-to-navigate page. Please be warned. Clicking may induce a shopping session that there’s no going back from. She says with a bank balance half the size of the original one.

One little number on the site that I just couldn’t resist was this gorgeous ‘Olivia’ dress, with a cut out waist and intricate pom pom detailing. In my opinion, it’s the perfect mix of ‘festival vibes’ and just enough girly-ness to ensure I don’t look like I’m trying to pull off a look that is totally outside my remit. It’s fun, feminine and flattering. Can’t go wrong with the three f’s, eh?
Tularosa, in case you haven’t come across it before (it’s massive in the US and I think Australia, who love their girly, boho esque look – perfect for the beach) then I’d definitely recommend a little browse. There’s plenty of off-the-shoulder numbers, criss-cross playsuits, white lace dresses and fancy palazzo pants. It’s oh so Coachella – but also fabulous for relaxed summer holidays, where you want to feel Instagram ready, but not as though you’re prancing around in something uncomfortable for the sake of it. It’s wearable, glamorous fashion. Just my kind of thing!

If you’re spending the majority of the summer in the UK, but still want to experiment with this style – I’d opt for a white wash denim jacket, just to ensure you’re not sporting some uninvited goose bump accessories. I opted for this little number but there’s so many around at the moment, you’ll be spoiled for choice with a simple Google search!
I’ve also added in a few of my favourite jewellerybox stacking rings – which are sterling silver – and won’t leave those very annoying green lines round your fingers, but totally affordable and under £8 each!
Do you have any summer dresses for your holiday yet? And do you have any recommendations of online stores with affordable, yet accessible beach wear? If so, I’d love to hear them!
