Although my usual ‘outfit post’ set-up tends to be a swanky dress and a pair of heels, I think it’s important to admit that life isn’t always like that and especially on holiday, sometimes all you fancy throwing on is a comfy pair of denim shorts and a floaty top.
Admittedly this doesn’t always photograph as well – or indeed look as glam, however blogs aren’t supposed to be replicas of a glossy magazine, as there’s real people with real lives behind them – so with this in mind, I thought I’d share this casual combination from my recent trip to Greece.
The views helped jazz up these photographs a bit – and took the pressure off the editing process, yes the sea really was that blue!
The shorts themselves I bought a couple of weeks ago in River Island. I never usually go for such short shorts, but I fitted into a 10 (for the first time since the age of 13) and so decided to treat myself. Maybe that’s an odd reason to purchase, but I actually love them and think they’re really flattering. Oh the excuses I use to justify buying yet more clothes…

The off the shoulder top is probably much comfier than it looks and was bought from Asos back at the start of summer. The floaty, non clingy material is a really flattering way to work the off the shoulder trend and it literally goes with everything and anything. I feel a little sad that it’s going to practically be redundant for another year, until we see the sun again. Or I could book another holiday…
