I don’t know about you but since discovering her blog, I am a little obsessed with Bip Ling. Her ‘online journal’ is a mix of arty, quirky and colourful outfit posts with a difference. She mixes luxe fabrics, quirky patterns and girlie pieces with cat ears, Minnie Mouse headbands and giant bows.
Since launching her blog whilst at university, she has caught the eye of some of the most influential designers and is currently the face of London’s Forever 21 range. Pretty good going for a fashion blogger! Whilst I’m sure it’s her flawless looks that have contributed to the attention she receives from the top dog’s in the modelling world, Bip has a really arty and British sense of humour, of which her style reflects too!
Former art-student and PR girl, Bip started her blog with the words ‘My name is Bipasha Ling, I am known as Bip’ and has since attracted attention worldwide for her artistic expression of fashion. Storm Models also picked up on her potential, as they’ve recently signed her to their agency.
Bip penchants her creative flair to her mother Tanya Ling, a fashion illustrator who has previously worked for Vogue and designers such as Christian Lacroix. She claims her interest in the fashion world started when Tanya told her daughter ‘treat every day as a style day’.
Despite running her own fashion blog, and posting several times a week with information about her outfits, I’ve decided to provide readers with some high street friendly ‘Bip Ling’ looks, just in case you can’t yet afford Burberry Trench Coats and Mulberry Boots!
I love how she mixes her prints to the extent it actually looks effortless. I wouldn’t be able to pull off this look myself, as I’d probably look like I’d gotten dressed in the dark but nevertheless she looks amazing, and I love this white shirt from Topshop!
Above: I tried to collect a range of pieces that I think embody Bip’s quirky, edgy yet feminine look. All of the above are from InLoveWithFashion.com apart from the wedges which can be bought from Topshop!
Who else loves Bip Ling’s blog?
