Although her relationship with Hugo has taken centre stage on E4’s Made In Chelsea, it’s her style that has caught my eye in the past. Having met her myself, I can safely say Millie is tiny (size wise, not height wise) and can pretty much get away with wearing a sack. Luckily, she doesn’t tend to favour wearing sacks – and instead chooses gorgeous, glamorous ‘kings road style’ dresses that we too can emulate.
Before Made In Chelsea, Millie was in fact a fully trained make-up artist and although she still works, much of her life is taken up by her new found fame on the show. However, Millie has posted several videos explaining what make-up she uses personally, and the brands she favours. I’ve watched several of Millie’s videos – not because I think I’m going to look like her but because I’m fascinated by her demeanour. She seems really blunt and cool on the outside, but perhaps she’s not like this when you get to know her.
I absolutely love how Millie wears her bodycon dresses as statement pieces. This blue bodycon is amazing for standing out in a crowd, especially teemed with gold and nude accessories. Although her original dress was from Lipsy, I decided to recreate this look with a celebboutique dress, as they have a lot of emphasis on the fit of the dress – which is a key statement of Millie’s!
This outfit was a pain to recreate, as although it looks simple – lacey top, leather trousers – there aren’t that many non revealing lacey tops. So I decided to go with this half lacey, half black top from The Kooples. I found through hunting on the web that Millie’s original top was from The Kooples but is no longer in stock. £100 is pricey for a t-shirt, but as its not too revealing I feel it’s something that would get worn again and again!
