I don’t normally shop at Hollister, as not only do I find it a little overpriced – but it’s quite hard to find ‘statement’ pieces within their stores, as they are mainly just a branded clothing company – where all their items carry their brand. I’m also not one who buys for the sake of the label, I normally just go on the basis – if it looks nice, fits and suits me, I’m sold. I don’t care whether it’s from Primark, Prada or Gucci.
However, I do like a good sale – and so when I logged onto the Hollister website, where every ‘winter’ item has been reduced by 40%, I couldn’t help having a scroll through. The reductions on the items mean that the clothing is affordable for those who don’t like spending £60 on a pair of tracksuit bottoms.
I couldn’t help but buy a few items, a couple of bits for myself and two items for my boyfriend. I felt a sense of satisfaction as I clicked ‘checkout’, and despite the £10 delivery charge (which was eventually taken off the total amount as I got to the PayPal stage, not sure why) I honestly think I have got myself a few lovely bargains. I have to say, Hollister clothes are very well made and you are paying for quality products. The jumpers and t-shirts are so soft and comfy, and very flattering (I find anyway).
The sale is still on (not sure when it finishes), so I thought I’d pick out a few bits for those of you who might be interested in grabbing yourself a bargain. Even if you’ve never worn Hollister before, or avoid labelled brands at all costs – I’d definitely recommend taking a look!
Above: Plaid Shirt – £17.52, Sweater – £29.52, PJ’s – £12.72, Pink Hoodie – £26.32.
