As sad as this probably may sound, pyjamas are one of my favourite things in the world. Whatever day you’ve had, whatever in the world has happened and whoever has annoyed you, changing swiftly out of your ‘regular’ clothes and into a pair of pj’s always has the ability to make things the tiniest bit better, if not a whole lot better. They’re a kind of comfort blanket that I turn to when in need – and they never let me down.
So, with such an important role to play in my life – I take pj hunting rather seriously. My favourite choice of sleeping attire up until now has been a pink and navy stripe Jack Wills sleep shirt, which cost a ghastly amount but was well worth the investment for the amount of wear it has received. But since that has been looking a little worse for wear, I wanted to find a worthy replacement – and by chance, fell upon Jimmi Jamms.
After giving them a big tick for their creative – and very cute – name, I stalked their website for a good half an hour and discovered the loveliest sleep shirts – in a plethora of pastel colours. A couple of days later, these gorgeous milk cartons popped through my letter box, emblazoned with pink bunnies and some witty slogans – which made me love them even more.
As well as the sleep shirt (which yours truly will be modelling for you in a short while – just to profess how much I love it), I also couldn’t resist this gorgeous check short set, which although look fairly summery – are perfect all year round as the material is thicker than it looks. Brand new pyjamas is an even better feeling than clean, crisp sheets!
The new sleep attire I simply couldn’t wait to dive into however, was this gorgeous Heritage Lounge Tee (£18) which is absolutely perfect solution for those days when you don’t want to get dressed but don’t fancy moping round the house in an unflattering, moth-eaten old t-shirt.
Made from super soft material, it’s probably the only sleep-wear I own that’s flattering and comfortable – two boxes which are rarely ticked together. It took me awhile to decide between pastel pink, baby blue, lemon yellow and the mint green, but eventually – I decided upon the latter.
Since it arrived a few weeks ago, it’s pretty much become a second skin – which is telling of how much I love it. So much so, I’m even considering treating myself to another one for Christmas – and perhaps ordering a few more for friends gifts! As they’re packaged so beautifully, I think they’d make really lovely (and much appreciated) presents, so we will see!
Do you love pyjamas as much as I do? And do you have a favourite pair?
