Despite feeling a little bogged down with exams and revision there’s nothing like a bit of patriotism to cheer me up – especially in the form of ‘Jubilee’ inspired fashion! Although I normally delete generic emails from clothing brands, I happened to come across Motel Rock’s ‘Jubilee Party Time’ email by chance and thought I’d let you know a little about their British inspired collection (just in case you’ve deleted the email too!).
I’ve spotted a few tacky, very OTT Jubilee inspired creations in several high street stores which sport the traditional red, white and blue British flag design and have been largely unimpressed by clothing companies’ attempts to celebrate the occasion. However, Motel Rocks have taken the colour scheme into their own hands – whilst still keeping in with the flag design. Personally, I think this brings the collection right up to date and makes the pieces perfect for summer wear (as a plethora of pastel colours are used to ‘re-create’ our flag).
However, if you don’t feel up to flaunting the flag this weekend then perhaps you might be more interested in Motel Rock’s ‘dress like a princess’ collection which has been designed around and influenced by Kate Middleton. It features several designs inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge that would look very fitting in her (assumabley very large) wardrobe. The dresses (and playsuits) are fantastic re-creations of some of Kate’s famous outfits (albeit the hem lines are a little shorter) so are perfect if you want to emulate the princess’ style for the jubilee!
What do you think? Do you prefer the traditional British Flag or are you enticed by Motel Rock’s re-creation?
What will you be wearing for the Jubilee Weekend?
