I have been a fan of Lee Stafford’s hair products for around a year now, as they are reliable, affordable and pink! Yes, I know – the packaging shouldn’t necessarily be a deciding factor when buying beauty products, but Lee’s products definitely stand out on the shelf! I have been lucky enough to test out a brand new product from his range, the BREaKiNG Hair DeTaNGLiNG SPRay (yes, it is spelt like that on the bottle!) which in a nutshell is a leave-in conditioner spray which eliminates knots and makes brushing much easier!
It’s a rarity for me not to have at least one negative comment to say about a product!
I am a regular user of the Aussie Miracle Insurance Leave In Conditioner, which too aims to detangle hair and make brushing a two minute job rather than a mammoth task! However, in recent weeks I have noticed my hair is looking quite limp and boring due to the build up of using the product day in day out, so I needed something new and lighter to replace it. Initially, I love the effect that new hair products give but after several weeks the effect starts to wear off – so I feel it is necessary to swap your leave in conditioners every month to prevent build up and over processed looking hair. So, this is where Lee Stafford’s Detangling Spray comes in!
It’s a rarity for me not to have at least one negative comment to say about a product, but I honestly don’t have one bad word about the Breaking Hair Detangling Spray as it does exactly as it says on the tin (well, bottle). It isn’t overly sticky, it doesn’t create build up and it certainly doesn’t weigh your hair down. The scent of the product isn’t particularly noticeable, as it’s kind of a generic beauty product scent however with a leave-in conditioner I wouldn’t really want a product to smell overpowering as this is what perfumes are for!
I was also able to test out the very popular Lee Stafford Argan Oil (you may know it as NourisHING Miracle OiL?) which accompanied the spray perfectly and although I’ve already nearly gone through a 50ml bottle, it’s definitely become a firm favourite in my hair maintenance routine. Whereas many Argan Oil products are quite sticky, this is really lightweight and helps to enrich your hair’s natural shine without weighing it down unnecessarily.
My hair isn’t overly damaged or dry as I very rarely use straighteners/curlers on it however I definitely noticed a difference within the first use as my hair was far softer and more manageable. The smell of the product is no different to other Argan Oil based oils (I personally love the smell) however it isn’t overpowering and after an hour of applying, you can no longer smell it unless you press it to your nose. For me, this is a good thing – as I find having really strongly scented hair products can often overpower the perfume you choose to wear and you end up with a random mixture of smells which isn’t particularly desirable!
The Lee Stafford Detangling Spray will be available to purchase from Boots in the next few days and is priced at £6.99. The Lee Stafford Argan Oil is available from Boots nationwide and costs £11.99 for 50ml. Personally, I feel both products are really affordable and are definitely more than worth what you pay for them. Whereas many hair ‘fixes’ can weigh your hair down and eventually create build up, both of these products I have tested for several weeks now and can confirm that they are lightweight and effective. The Lee Stafford Argan Oil is definitely one of the most popular on the beauty market at the moment, as it is the cheapest but also the most nourishing. If you are yet to try Morrocon/Argan Oil and are keen too, Lee Stafford’s range is a good place to start!
