Most people I knew were rooting for Little Mix to win the X Factor this year, and so it was no surprise that Dermot announced them as the winners. Jade, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jesy have had a long, tough and emotional journey however they can now relax a little – as I’m sure winning the X Factor takes a little pressure off. Although in recent years the winner hasn’t really been as popular as the runners up, I think this year will be slightly different – as Little Mix are very different to other contestants and are sure to bring out number 1 singles – as they are in high demand.
Although I was pleased for Little Mix, I was quite frustrated at the number of times Little Mix and the judges were asked ‘why do you think Little Mix had the edge over other contestants’, as I think they’d established why after the question was asked the first time. It really frustrates me on The Xtra Factor – as really boring and similar questions are asked again and again – if you’ve got the chance to ask a question, at least be original – or try and get a bit of juicy gossip!
After an interview on Daybreak this morning however, it was revealed that the girls plan to move in together after Christmas – so that they can focus on their future. They also revealed that they are planning to release a single with Tulisa, which is to be featured on Tulisa’s new solo album. The dedicated girlbandeven got up at 5am this morning to get ready for their various ITV interviews, which surely must be painful if they had been celebrating last night!
Do you think Little Mix deserved to win? Do you hope they bring out an album sooner rather than later? Do you think the public will lose interest if they are out of the loop too long? Leave your comments below.
