London Fashion Weekend isn’t an event that I’d normally go to – as despite tickets being accessible to the public, I never really know when large scale events like this are happening. However, last week I won tickets from Madison’s blog to attend the event and so I’ve decided to let you know the kind of things in store for those who attended (or will attend – it’s on again tomorrow).
The Fashion Weekend is hosted by Somerset House (near Covent Garden), which is also the venue for the actual fashion week – and so you get a real sense of the atmosphere when visiting. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get tickets for the Catwalk Shows however, you can do if you wish as they are on sale on the day. It’s about £20 for entry and an extra £16 for the Catwalk shows. The venue is packed with stalls from Boutiques, Jewellery Stores and High Fashion Designers. I’m pretty skint at the moment – so shopping wasn’t really an option for me, and to be honest there wasn’t much else to do at the event. However it was a great experience and I did a bit of celeb spotting (Lily Allen’s sister Sarah was there, and Made In Chelsea’s Amber Atherton!). I would recommend a visit if you want to shop from lots of different boutiques, vintage stores and luxury brands in one place.
