Today hasn’t been the greatest, it’s my first proper week back at sixth form and I’m quite frankly dreading my A Levels. The thought of yet more coursework, exams, revision and gothic horror fills me with dread – however, I’m sure I will plough through. On a more positive note – I have a new dress! I bought a few new things from NEXT recently as they have some lovely new dresses, skirts and jumpers – so if you get a chance, take a look at their website. I’ve also been invited to the LOOK bloggers show on Saturday which is really exciting (as I didn’t think I’d get an invite and it’s my first proper event I’ve been invited too since starting my blog) however, I’m not entirely sure if I’m going to go yet.
You’ll also be pleased to know that I tried out some nail art – this time successfully. I always find that it looks better in reality compared to my rubbish photographs however after an hour of fiddling about with a sharpie pen – they look alright! They are really easy to do if you want to try it out! Simply paint on a base colour, making sure its thick enough that if you make a mistake you can rub the top with a little nail polish remover and it won’t come off. Then dot on another colour (it works well if this colour is the brighter of the two and stands out more), then after it has THROUGHLY dried (don’t make the mistake I made!) circle the brigher dots with a black sharpie pen. Be as creative as you can be! Then paint over a clear varnish to seal the sharpie pen’s ink – I had visions of washing my hair in the shower and the black ink running (dying my hair BLACK!). Luckily, this didn’t happen and I still have blonde hair – however, BEWARE!
