As you may remember, several weeks ago I posted about the Money Supermarket Secret Santa Challenge that I agreed to take part in (if you don’t remember, see here). I was delighted when my Secret Santa giftee (if that’s even a word), was Hannah from Palindrome Poppet, and hers was in fact, me! I am a huge fan of Hannah’s blog and since she had such a wide variety of interests, I tried to cater for several of them by buying a few gifts rather than just the one. I’m not sure what Hannah thinks about my present to her yet, but keep a watch on her blog to find out!
Since the premise of Secret Santa involves you being sent a present, I was also sent a gift from Hannah, which she had thoughtfully hand picked based upon my interests. I was a little worried at first as to whether my blog was ‘personal’ enough to reveal my interests and likes/dislikes, however Hannah clearly knew me well, as when the package popped through my letterbox and I opened it up excitedly, a huge smile flashed across my face. She had stated in a blog post regarding the challenge that she had chosen a present for me based upon a recent post I had written, and upon opening the package, it immediately became clear which one that was!
Hannah had sent me a very sweet hand written card (which was very thoughtful, as I sent all of my presents to her online and didn’t think to send a hand written card), as well as a gorgeous set of Tommy Guns Haircare products, which I have been using non-stop since they were sent over. Picking up on my hair growing obsession, Hannah really kindly chose the products for me to assist in my hair length aims, and I absolutely love the items she chose for me!
Before Hannah sent the products over, I’m ashamed to say I’d actually never heard of Tommy Guns, but I have been really pleasantly surprised by the results they’ve had on my hair – especially the Colour Save Intensive Masque, which gives your locks an intense shine that I’ve never experienced with another other hair treatment before (not even my beloved Aussie). Each of the products smells absolutely gorgeous (a mix of pomegranate, orange and hemp – which is sort of a vanilla, strawberry type scent), and since I’m going through them at rocket speed, I shall definitely be re-investing in another set!
So, overall I absolutely love my Secret Santa present and I’m so pleased I took part in the challenge! Not only has it introduced me (thanks to Hannah), to a wonderful new brand of hair care products, which I shall be sticking to, but it has also been fun picking out a few presents for Hannah based on her blog as well as reading other bloggers posts who took part. Choosing a gift for Hannah made me look at her blog in a different way, so that rather than simply just reading the posts I began looking at the blogger behind the website, which was really fun! Thank you ever so much to Money Supermarket, who were the brains behind the challenge, as it has been a great experience, and I can’t wait to hear what Hannah thinks about my SS present to her!
