I have been in awe of Nicola McLean ever since she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother back at the start the year, where the UK witnessed her hilarious sense of humour, bubbly personality and AMAZING figure (looking at her, you would not be able to tell she has had two children!). I had the pleasure of meeting the lady herself at the Pia Michi event back in Febuary and she really made the time to talk to both my mum and I, which is a rarity these days as many celebrities seem disinterested in anything you have to say.
So, I was beyond excited when I heard that Nicola has recently launched her very own range of shoes, flip flops and sunglasses with Love Lemonade. Although many celebrity ranges these days are ridiculously overpriced and unaffordable, you’ll be pleased to know that Nicola aims her collection at those with smaller budgets as prices start from just £25. However, this doesn’t mean that the quality of the collection has been compromised, as I have to say I am extremely impressed with the design of the products available. My absolute favourite are the crystal champagne shoes (£75) which are perfect for girls who love pink and sparkles (ie: me!).
As well as including a selection of heels in her collection, Nicola has thoughtfully designed some sparkly flip flops for busy mums (or girls) on the go that need a more practical, flat shoe to wear. The flip flops are £25 a pair and feature in black, pink and silver – all decorated with diamantes (so you don’t have to compromise on style!). Nicola’s collection is perfect for summer wear, as you can pack the heels for nights out and flip flops for sunbathing at the beach!
I love sparkles and bling and I’ve been wearing Lemonade’s crystal shoes on night’s out for years, I even wore them in the CBB house!” says Nicola, “but I’m a Mum and I can’t be in six inch heels all the time, which is why we came up with this range that includes glam flip flops for the daytime and sparkling heels for night time with everything in classic colours!
Nicola’s collection was launched on Saturday at the Girls Day Out Event and attracted lots of attention to her stand, which showed off her shoe designs. Peter Andre also took the time to take a look at Nicola’s hard work, as he made an appearance at the event. Nicola wore a body con black dress to her launch, teamed with some glitzy gold earrings!
All in all, I am very impressed with Nicola’s shoe collection with Lemonade and it is bound to be a hit with fans of the lady herself and all those looking for affordable, glitzy and glamorous shoes. I am always a little cynical about celebrity collections, as many have absolutely no input from the celebrity themselves however it is clear from Nicola’s collection that she has had a large amount of involvement with the design. They reflect Nicola’s bubbly personality and glamorous style that we all have grown to know and love!
