Following my jewellery review last week, I have decided to post about another cute online accessories store I found whilst browsing on Twitter – Nun Fish. Not only is Nun Fish extremely affordable, but it offers a wide selection of high quality looking rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces, all of which make perfect gifts or small treats for yourself. I was lucky enough to be contacted Nicky from Nun Fish, who kindly offered to send me several of the pieces from the online store to test out for myself.
As a current ring-obsessive (not in a creepy, Gollum way though), I chose the Peace Diamond Ring, the Peace Ring Set in Gold and the Word Ring Set to review. When the pieces arrived, in a silver foil style bag emblazoned with the Nun Fish logo, I was eager to see if they looked as high quality in the flesh as they did on the website. I’m pleased to say, that they looked even better in reality – and you really wouldn’t be able to tell that each of the pieces are priced under £10.
My favourite piece was the Word Rings Set (above), which features ‘wisdom’, ‘luck’ and ‘courage’ as well as ‘peace’, ‘belief’ and ‘free’. Although I would typically assign this style of jewellery for festivals, the vintage, antique look of the rings mean that they are suitable for everyday wear, and are ideal to jazz up a rather plain looking outfit.
I absolutely loved the Peace Diamond ring that Nicky kindly sent me too. Sometimes diamante style jewellery can look a little over-done or a little to ‘blingy’ but luckily, this isn’t the case at all for this piece, as it manages to balance out the diamante’s with a delicately shaped gold style band. For only £5, this is a really affordable (and gorgeous) piece that goes with pretty much any outfit this autumn/winter! The only real shame is that it comes up so small in comparison to my fingers, I can only manage to squidge this on my little finger!
Since receiving the pieces at the beginning of last week, I have probably worn the Peace Ring Set the most – as it isn’t garish but still adds something to an outfit’s overall look. I really love the washed gold effect of the rings (no idea if this is the right term, but hopefully you’ll know what I mean from the photographs!). For just £4.50 (for all the three rings in the set), this really is a fantastic ‘end of the week treat’ that won’t leave you feeling guilty!
If you don’t fancy any of the above, but are still interested in some afford-ably priced jewellery then I would really recommend a look on the Nun Fish site (and not because I’ve been sent pieces for free, but because everything on it is utterly amazing!). They have such a variety of designs, that you are guaranteed to find something you like and since everything under £20, they make the ideal gift for yourself (or for someone else, if you’re feeling nice!).
