I’m letting go of my over-sized love (well, for one day, anyway) and opting for these new jeans – and, yes, I know we throw the word “obsess” around a lot, but I really am absolutely, terribly obsessed with these embroidered skinny jeans by one of my favourite designers, the Queen of modern boho, Isabel Marant (yes, I’m referencing Queen’s 70’s hit Bohemian Rhapsody and mixing it with the Queen Marant of Bohemian haha) Love their cut and the leafy embroidery designs along the leg. They’re slightly bootcut at the end and have three antique-y gold buttons which you can undo to let the fabric hang open on the side and expose some extra bit of leg or the criss-crossing of sexy lace-up sandals. How cool is that?!
It was so gloriously sunny and warm in London over the weekend that I could finally take advantage of the Spring/Summer weather to wear soft colours and lightweight fabrics and, of course, the jeans. I keep talking about doing a monochrome look in off-white and I’ve kind of achieved it here with these off-white skinnies which I’ve paired with a sugar-coloured flowy blouse and a stunning dusty pink suede jacket – as always, just slung over my shoulders. Added a bit of height and extra bohemian vibes with these gorgeous fringed booties (I got them at New Look years ago!) and played around with two different hats before I realised I preferred the pink/beige one over the black. A swipe of nude lipstick and my nano Céline in taupe to match the embroidery detailing and hat stripe and I’ve got a cream-coloured look with earthy hues of brown, sand and pink. I have been rediscovering my wardrobe lately, too, so sorry for the label-less blouse, jacket and hat. All old items that I’ve dug up and got a new-found love for!
I hope you all enjoyed the marvellous weekend, as well. Have a great week!
