It was about 8pm when my friend (and the photographer), Nikki, started shooting away for my latest outfit post, capturing that magical lighting at golden hour. Managed (not intentionally!) to be in gold, too, with one of my favourite camisoles for summer, a very lightweight, silky cami in red and white with touches of embroidered gold here and there that sparkle in the sunlight. Love the way it falls loosely, the girly ruffles and the combination of colours – I think it’s so pretty. Paired it with distressed cut-offs from Ksubi and metallic gold sandals – of course, Isabel Marant.
It was a casual outfit for a day out with friends, catching up and having delicious Greek food, the silky top lends just the perfect amount of fancy if you want to be a little more “refined”, perhaps. These gold sandals are by far my favourite this year, been wearing them almost every day; I have started planning my outfits from the sandals up! I love strappy shoes and these are so easy to wear – can be a casual shoe but can also accompany a more dressed-up look; with a black lace dress or an open-black silk top and cropped jeans.

So, if you have been following my column, you will have realised that I am obsessed with anything Isabel Marant – especially lately. The perfectly cropped skinnies, the metallic touches, the never-before-seen prints on her jeans, those subtle Cowboy ankle boots that are the most covetable items, throughout summer and winter, her embroideries and bohemian vibes…all these make her creations totally unique. Apart from my newfound obsession with this Parisian brand, I also got a new look and cut my hair last week! I’ve always had it super long, not so much at the front because my hair has always been linearly layered, so it doesn’t really show – but the back feels super short now and I absolutely love it!
