I promised myself that I would re-start my ‘what I wore’ section this summer, and after putting it off for several weeks – I finally decided today was the day. So, with my boyfriend (as designated photographer) in tow, we set off on an evening walk.
Admittedly, I’m no model (as I’m sure you can tell) so you certainly won’t be seeing any crop top, tank tops or snazzy skirts in my What I Wore section. I tend to play it safe with outfits that I feel comfortable in and which suit my figure.
My dress is by Mela Loves London which I picked up in New Look over the weekend, as it was in the sale for £12! It is a size smaller than I normally wear (a size 10 rather than a 12) so it’s a snug fit, but I love polka dots for summer and I simply couldn’t resist! Ever since Kate Middleton wore a gorgeous white polka dot dress to the HP Studio Tour, I’ve been keeping my eye out for something similar. It’s sold out on the New Look website but it is still available at sale price on the House of Fraser website here.
My shoes are a few weeks old and despite the rather high heel, are really easy to walk in. Again, I picked them up in the sale at Barratts for £20 (they’re still available here) and I was really pleasantly surprised at how well they go with the dress actually! Wearing nude heels apparently gives the illusion of longer legs?
I’d love to hear what you think!
