I can’t believe I haven’t posted about my prom sooner really, as it was at the end of June but oh well, better late then never! Compared to my end of GCSE’s prom, this one was far less formal – however it was still a nice excuse to get all dressed up and say good-bye to everyone heading off to university. As I am taking a gap year, I don’t really feel that sad to leave school once and for all (well, assuming I get the grades) but I know I will miss going there every day and seeing the same faces once September comes along.
I chose a dipped hem Lipsy dress to wear to prom, having worn (and loved) my last prom dress – which was also Lipsy. I personally hate spending extortionate amounts on a dress that is ‘un-wearable’ so to speak, so I’d rather spend £70 on one that I can wear again! I have a growing collection of Lipsy dresses, which I take out of the wardrobe for London events and weddings, so hopefully I will be able to re-wear this one as well! If you fancy taking a look at the dress, it’s still available on the Lipsy website here.
It’s quite strange when comparing photos from this prom, to the one I had two years ago (see below) – as I don’t really think I’ve changed that much looks wise (?). I feel like I’ve matured a hell of a lot though (hopefully) and I am now attempting to put years of wanting to work in journalism and secure an internship into practice! Wish me luck!
Hope I haven’t bored you to death with tonnes of pictures!
