I’ve been reading a lot of blogs recently, (some good, some bad) and it’s made me realise just how many blogs there are on the internet currently – ALOT. Although I think blogging is a personal thing, as some feel comfortable sharing their personal lives with the big wide web – it seems everyone has one! And so, I decided to devise a list containing ‘elements that make a great blog’ – so that I could perhaps tailor mine towards this – with no success. I just can’t put my finger on what makes a blog a success, they are all so similar and yet so different. I came to the conclusion, that it takes effort and determination behind a person’s blog to make it successful (or half decent) – unfortunately, a half hearted effort will only attract a small following, whereby consistency and the ability to keep plugging away sets you up for success – meaning that in the first few months of blogging, you will find yourself spending an awful lot of time on your blog. However, I didn’t set my blog up to gain popularity, in fact at first I didn’t even think anyone would read my blog – and instead I just wrote about topics I felt passionate about – so it means a lot that people read and enjoy my writing!
Anyway, sorry to bore you – over to what I’m wearing. I’m actually really pleased I’ve kept this up for 3 days so far (I know it doesn’t seem a lot, but it is for me!) ha ha. Today, I’m wearing a favourite of mine – my swallow and hearts top (well dress, until someone shrunk it in the wash, which probably didn’t me a favour as it was fairly short anyway) and some VERY EXCITING black leggings. I decided to fishtail plait my hair, not only because it wasn’t behaving but also because I like the wiggly effect it leaves when you unplait it (oh dear).
Again – excuse the strange poses and awkward facial expressions – I’m still getting used to this business! It seems that I look entirely different depending on whether or not I switch my camera’s flash on – which is odd.
