I’m ashamed to say that although I own no less than six different primers, I generally always forget to apply it before my foundation. I do see a noticeable difference when I do use it, however the frantic morning rush usually dictates that my make-up is as minimal as possible – so primer’s are primarily reserved for lengthy sessions.
However, it was only recently that I discovered why primer’s were brought out initially (in a promotional video for Smashbox Cosmetics) – and it changed my perspective on how useful they are as a make-up bag essential. I could explain this in my usual waffling way – or I could show you a video which does so far more gracefully. I opted for the latter:
Not only does using primer underneath your make-up ensure flawless application, but it also means that you won’t have to re-apply your make-up for the evening – which is fantastic if you tend to rush from work to after work drinks without a second thought.
