As much as I hate to say it, with October close approaching, it’s nearly time to say goodbye to bikini shopping and sunbathing and hello to Autumn/Winter-wear, coats, scarves, hats and (my personal favourite) a new pair of boots which will last you all the way through until Spring.
This year however, I’m on a slightly more student budget so rather than splashing out on a new pair of expensive leather heeled boots (with a faux fur trim – I had already subconsciously chosen a pair), I knew I had to go for something more affordable, yet wearable. And this is where Sorel comes in.
Renowned for their high quality snow boots and walking shoes, Sorel are a brand coveted by A-List celebrities and professionals alike, meaning that generally their prices are pretty out of my league. However, their new short Campus range, designed and priced for the student market are not only a water resistant mix of suede and leather (that’s the technical bit) but they’re only £80 a pop. Offered in either plum red or blue, the boots feature a uniquely wearable and comfortable water proof outer layer and a lusciously soft fleece inner layer. So soft in fact, I’ve taken to wearing them without socks.
Ideal for wearing with leggings and jeans when it gets particularly cold and when (like me) you can’t be bothered to put something extravagant together when all you really feel like doing is crawling back into bed, the boots are slim enough to flatter your legs and not create a bulky feel, but they are easy to slip straight into.
They are a style set to be on demand, so if you’re still looking for the perfect go-to boots this Winter, make sure you take a look at the Campus range first.
