Jeffrey Campbell’s Lita are everywhere at the moment and due to the vast range of quirky designs available – they have been spotted on a variety of famous faces’ feet. If you’re anything like me, you won’t be willing to fork out the whopping £120 (minimum) price tag, nor will you want to wait several months for UK sellers to re-stock, so read on if you’d like a high street solution.
Blogger Emily Divine introduced me to Chockers shoes about two months ago, and since then I have been eying up these gorgeous Amber Lace up Ankle Boots, which bear a striking resemblance to the Lita’s (bar the wooden heel). In comparison to other high street Lita finds, they are priced at an affordable £35 and feature in a range of colours. With a 6.2 inch heel, its unsurprising to say that I was a little daunted at the prospect of trying to walk in them – however, once I’d slipped them on my feet and strolled about a little, it was just like walking in a pair of average heels. The ankle boot design means that they grip your feet much better than other shoes, which is far easier to walk in and much more comfortable if you’re wearing them on a night out. If you normally shy away from heels, but love the idea of heeled boots – then I’d definitely recommend that you try a pair, because personally I find walking in boots much easier, as the sole of your feet doesn’t have to do any of the work.
The hidden platform in the shoe also makes the ‘walking’ (or in my usual case teetering) process much easier, as everything is contained within the boot rather than your foot slipping around in heels. I’m sorry if my waffling isn’t making much sense, but what I’m trying to say is that the Amber Lace up Boots are far more comfortable than they initially look. I’ve worn mine all weekend, and plan to wear them up to London next week (although I might take flats for the way home!). I think for £35, you can’t really go wrong – as they are a fraction of the price of the Jeffrey Campbell’s and if I’m honest, look far prettier too. They can be worn with a variety of different outfits, although at the moment – I’m taking inspiration from Chloe Green, who wears hers with black dresses and leather jackets.
The boots come in black, brown and black suede – and have been reduced from £50 to £35 (although I’m not quite sure how long this offer will last). After scouring the internet, I can honestly say that these boots are the best quality ‘high street’ versions of the Lita’s, as well as the most affordable. Chockers also stock a wooden heeled version (£39.99) in yellow, blue, pink, orange and black – if you’re feeling a little more adventurous.
I’m sure you will be seeing lots more of these gorgeous ankle boots in many outfit posts to come, as I am in awe of them at the moment. They honestly make me feel so much slimmer (regardless of what I wear) and they are equally as comfortable when worn with socks or bare feet. They do look a little daunting at first, but I assure you – they are much comfier than they look!
My Ankle Lace Up Boots from Chockers (£35) can be found here. They also come in black suede and brown.
