Apps, smartphones and iPads aren’t exactly ‘romantic’ devices, and I’m sure your loved one would appreciate your undivided attention, rather than you playing around on your latest free game. However, I’ve done a little research recently – and have found that you could potentially use your devices for a love inspired use. Introducing my top five free romantically inspired apps:
1) Couple
Formerly called ‘Pair’, this rather simple looking app is basically a Facebook, just for two. After setting up your profile, and connecting with your partner, you have a constant timeline running, where you can send messages, images, videos, drawings in an instant. There is even the thought bubble option, which when pressed, sends an automatic update to his/her phone letting them know you are thinking of them! How, erm thoughtful! It’s great for long distance relationships, especially as you can send everything on one stream, making video and photo sharing easy and simple. Whether you want to send him a little video message, or a really creative drawing to let him know you love him – it’s all do-able on Couple! FREE
2) Romantic Ideas 500
If your partner is constantly complaining at you to be a little more romantic, or a little more thoughtful, but you just can’t think of anything spontaneously loved up to do, then this app is your pocket guide. Filled with ideas for things to do with your girlfriend/boyfriend, even if they are simple things, it’s a sweet freebie that is perfect for last minute inspiration. FREE
3) E-Hearts Valentine’s Day Organiser
If you are planning a real extravaganza for your loved one on Feb 14th, this app is a must have. Complete with a Valentine’s Day countdown (to the second), a checklist, an e-card creator and a V-Day diary, you can be sure that whatever you have planned is organised to a tee. FREE
4) Astro Love Calculator
This app proves V-day isn’t just for couples, singletons can get in on the act too, if they are looking for love! This (rather strange) application calculates every possible moment (in real time) that you are destined to fall in love, in terms of meeting someone new, and both of your attractions and feelings. The closer your star signs are, the more favorable your love destiny is! I can’t personally see anyone glued to this app, praying for a ‘love’ moment to pop up, so that they can get themselves extra glammed up. But it’s all a bit of fun I suppose! You never know! FREE
5) Bliss Lite – the game for lovers
This app is a little *ahem* rude, but if you’re that way inclined, it’s a romantically inspired app – perfect for the day of romance. Claiming to put emphasis on romance and intimacy rather than blatant sexuality, the board game style app gives users actions to complete after rolling the dice and landing on a certain square on the board. As the game progresses. So do the actions apparently. And I can guess only too well what that means. Well, it is the day for love after all. FREE
