The Only Way Is Essex is finally back on our screens for an eleventh series and was, unsurprisingly full of drama, romance, break ups and tears.
The opening credits weren’t the only new addition to the programme. Fran, Diags’ new flatmate, was introduced to the show. She helped him out with his washing and they enjoyed a lunch together. Could this be Diags’ chance to find love?
Also Mario’s new crush, Grace was introduced, who has not only caught the infamous ex-boyfriend of Lucy’s eye but also Lewis’ who had left her roses on her car. Surely, this isn’t going to end well!
And, Fran and Grace weren’t the only new girls introduced in this episode. Billie Faiers and her fiance Greg Shepherd announced that they are getting married and are expecting a baby girl. Of course the announcement was not a modest occasion. They held a party to announce their good news. The couple, kept the gender of the baby quiet and told their guests that the colour of the sponge in their cake revealed the gender. The couple gathered everyone around as they cut the cake revealing the pink sponge.
Of course, in TOWIE not everyone can be happy families. Ferne and Charlie broke up before Christmas, even after Charlie’s romantic gesture to win Ferne back in the last series. However, the rumour spread across Essex that Ferne had cheated on Charlie whilst they were still together. Gossip spreads like wild fire in Essex, so it didn’t take long before Charlie found out via his feisty elder sister, Chloe. He then confronted Ferne, which led to a classic argument between the on again off again couple.
And finally, a TOWIE episode just isn’t complete without a huge party. This episode’s extravaganza was held by Essex’s very own lothario, Mario Falcone, for his birthday. He had hired out a large sprawling mansion with pool and hot tub to celebrate with his friends and family, also inviting new love interest, Grace, who he had asked out on a date.
Grace coyly said ‘maybe’ and told him he had a ‘bad reputation.’ Grace was also asked out on a date from Lewis at the party to which she said maybe to as well. Is she playing the game also?
Sisters Billie and Sam Faiers missed the party to stay at home, as Sam revealed her recent diagnosis of Crohn’s disease, which she was suffering from during her time in the Celebrity Big Brother house. The party had a lot less drama than expected, with Bobby and Gemma making up after their argument during Christmas (and even an apology from Gemma first)! However, the party ended with Ferne and Charlie’s argument and eventually Ferne walked out.
It sure does seems that Series 11 will not disappoint on the drama front and we will have to wait and watch to see how all the action plays out!
