Although we love hearing the nominees, the winners and the speeches – really it’s the dresses that we care about. Maybe I’m alone on this one, but normally – at major events, I’m very interested in the award winners but my eyes are *slightly* more focused on the amazing outfits on show and the NTA’s was no different.
Although I wasn’t lucky enough to be on the sidelines (this is hopefully a dream for next year, as I hope to have boosted my blog and be more focused on the celebrity and showbiz side of journalism), I thought I’d show you a few of my favourite looks from the night.
The TOWIE stars for me were the best dressed of the night, as they each sported a very different look – but still all looked utterly amazing. I particularly liked Amy Childs look – a fitted silk and lace dress with a mermaids tail skirt. It highlighted her very womanly figure, and she really stood out amongst those who had gone for something a bit generic and safe.
I also loved Lauren Pope’s sheer silver lace dress, which although was a little risky – it paid off. She looked absolutely stunning, and the dress didn’t swamp her but complimented her tiny figure. Jess Wright also looked fantastic, wearing a black and white cut out dress which again – complimented her figure. Many have described it as Kate Middleton meets TOWIE, which I think is quite a sound description!
Little Mix stood out in a different way – as they chose to ignore the formal, red carpet dress code and wore their usual combinations. Although some might like the idea that Little Mix are being a bit different and ‘quirky’, I think its a bit of a cop out – how often do you get to go to the NTA’s! We have seen them in their stage outfits throughout the Christmas period, we want to see them all dolled up! Does anyone agree? (I have to say though, I do love Leigh-Anne’s dress!)
