RIOTS are the main topic of the week, and I think I uphold the same view as the majority in the UK. I think that the small minority who are ruining major parts of the UK are not rioting for the right reasons, in fact they aren’t rioting for any reason at all – they are purely following the lead of other riots that have taken place across the country and are grabbing the opportunity to loot for clothes, jewellery and televisions – something that otherwise they would never get away with. Most of the people involved (with greatest respect) do not have any interest in the countries’ welfare, so they cannot use the excuse that they are rioting about taxes or any government cuts – and they certainly cannot use such an excuse when you see the extent of damage they have caused. It’s upsetting and hurtful that businesses, towns and homes are destroyed because of peoples’ ignorance and immaturity.
I also think it’s awful that police officers are being criticised on how they do their job, as many are working overtime – all throughout the night, to do the very best they can to support London and other major cities. Just like us, they are used to such chaos. In fact, who was to know that we have so many heartless, brainless people in our country that would participate in such a thing. I have been in London this week, and it’s quite scary to know that these horrible people are roaming the streets in anticipation of another attack. I just hope everyone continues their everyday lives as best they can, although many have been affected.
On a more positive note, I have been taking photographs of my outfits this week and will post them all on Friday in a photo diary type style. Feel free to leave your views below.
