My skincare drawer is jam packed at the moment with miracle promising products designed to banish the skin-based winter blues. It’s taken me a couple of weeks to try everything at least once, but as always – I will only ever feature on scarlettlondon.com, those I genuinely love, vouch for and would buy personally. Even though many of them are samples that have been sent, if it hasn’t worked for me – I’ll either tell you why in a post, or not feature it at all. So it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you – Urban Veda, a natural skincare company with a number of decadently scented products – that really do what they say on the tin (or should I say, gorgeous orange packaging).
With a focus on natural ingredients – including sandalwood, ylang ylang and palmarosa, everything that comes out of their range smells incredible and offers real, chemical-free goodness.
The Daily Soothing Facial Wash transports you into ‘spa mode’ with it’s aromatherapy-esque scent and soft, gel like texture – which melts into your skin, hydrating it and gently softening any hard skin or dry patches. It’s ideal for clarifying and really calms down any redness or irritation, which is all you can ask for in a facial wash and much, much more!
The Soothing Exfoliating Facial Wash is a deceivingly gentle scrub, which removes dead skin cells without stripping your skin of it’s natural oils. I actually use this on my body as well as my face, as I find it leaves my skin smelling like I’ve just stepped out of a spa (and captures your perfume too) however as a facial exfoliant – it’s a brilliant product!
When it comes to creams and moisturisers, they either work for you or they don’t. Luckily my experience with the Soothing Clarifying Night Cream falls under the former category. It hydrates my skin, leaves it feeling smooth and silky and doesn’t bring me out in a rash like many fragranced products can. It’s lovely that this works for sensitive skin and has a spa-like fragrance because the majority I have had to use are fragrance free (and fairly boring).
As a whole, I have fallen completely head over heels for Urban Veda. They not only leave you feeling relaxed and spa-like but they actually really, really work and look fantastic on your dressing table! I will continue using these and can’t wait to re-purchase – when I might treat myself to a few other products from the range!
Have you tried Urban Veda – if so, what did you think? What qualities do you look for in your skincare products?
