Last week we headed to House of Fraser Oxford Street to celebrate Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. Oxford Street is always busy but on this particular night it was a whole new level of packed! Getting out at Oxford Circus Station I couldn’t believe how many people were out, what’s more how many people I knew or recognised from the fashion and blogging world. I headed straight to House of Fraser and was welcomed with the gorgeous scent of the beauty hall and an abundance of bloggers.
First things first, we headed to the Mahiki cocktail pop-up bar where we had some gorgeous drinks. The store was so warm due to the sheer amount of people so a refreshing cocktail was just what I needed! There was so much to see so whilst checking the store map I had a little boogie to Jameela Jamil’s DJ set – she is so beautiful! I got a quick snap with Jameela but she literally had a second as she had to mix in the next song!
After that, we headed upstairs to the ladies’ fashion department where we got a quick peek at Millie Mackintosh’s new clothing line. I must say I was very impressed – the whole line is completely wearable! I will definitely be making a purchase in the near future! Millie was absolutely flawless in real life, as expected!
After a browse around the second floor I decided to head back downstairs to see what was happening. On my way down I was drawn in by a little nail bench – any chance to get my nails done I am there! So I tried out the IZ Designer Nail Wraps on my ring fingers. I’ve never actually tried nail wraps before and couldn’t believe how quick and easy they were to put on. The girls sent me home with a pack and as I never actually have time to sit and paint my nails, I can’t wait to try them on the go!
There were so many different things happening around the store; Aveda were dry styling and creating some gorgeous curls and every one of the brands were giving mini makeovers to shoppers. As there were so many people eager to get in on the action, the queues were crazy but the longest could be found at the YSL counter where they were giving makeovers and Vogue cover shoots. I thought about queuing for a second but really couldn’t commit to standing still that long when there were tunes pumping on the other side of the floor!
I wore all H&M, with Steve Madden shoes and a MK bag.
The cutest part of the night was the Radley stall where they had the actual Radley Scottie dogs. When I went outside for a breather the dogs were doing the same thing, and I got to have a little play with the best behaved dogs I’ve ever met! Also the lady from Radley was 100% the best dressed of the night wearing a chic grey and white combo.
The night generally consisted of shopping, drinking and bumping into friends. It was nice strolling around a department store after hours with like minded shopaholics, and it was even nicer doing it surrounded by cocktails, makeup and discounts. I can’t wait until next year!
