King of trash tv, Big Brother is back on our screens on Thursday (despite it feeling like its only just finished) and its set to return with a bang! Obviously there are no confirmed celebrities, as Big Brother like to keep the line up a secret until the night however usually the rumours are pretty spot on.
Celebrities set to enter the house include TOWIE’s Kirk, X Factor’s Frankie Cocozza (how did we not guess this was going to happen), Micheal Madsen and Playboy twins Karissa and Kristina (nope, never heard of them either). New host Brian has revealed that housemates should expect the house to be unpredictable, with celebrity guests entering the house every day to perform tasks.
Personally, I love watching Big Brother – not only because it makes easy watching, but because you can really start to feel as though you personally ‘know’ the housemates. I think the best programmes are those you can make a connection with, and so Big Brother is ideal for ‘personal relationships’. In previous series, the housemates have been picked out for being so crazy, fame-obsessed and materialistic that I can’t relate to anyone, however this year’s series have included much more ‘relatable’ housemates, and so I’m looking forward to what’s to come!
I do think however, that the producers have made Big Brother much easier. So if any producers are reading this – we ENJOY seeing the celebrities/housemates suffer! They’ve signed up for Big Brother, not a holiday! This year’s series saw housemates treated to a takeaway every other night, and where has the tree of temptation gone?!
Watch the launch night, Thursday 5th January 2012.
